The Sediment Series

This series of wooden handles was inspired by a piece made by the craftsmen in our workshop. He used the materials he had available, in this case small pieces of ply and stacked them together to make a handle for a papercrete presser. The texture of the ply felt lovely, and we used this technique to develop this series of pieces with a unique sequence of naturally varying layers. 
 
The smooth and soft surface of the handles feels lovely to the touch, and is complemented by rich tints of dark sheesham to bring some warmth and respite to the eye. 
 
This series of warm hand-made handles is a reminder of the ochres and browns of fallen leaves this autumn season.
