Through a plastic pollution awareness and waste collection drive for an installation project, we collected thousands of plastic bottles from a small part of the city.

Seeing all those bottles together in one place, and realising that this was just a microscopic amount of the actual plastic waste that is generated daily in our city, was an epiphanic moment for us.

We are at the beginning of our journey of trying to understand this material as a resource and exploring ways in which we can re-use it in a better way.

The initial explorations were through temporary installations and we are now moving towards trying to work with smaller, more permanent objects.
